You're just about to walk down the aisle but first, let's tell your guests where it all began....
Here at Where It All Began, we take the story of your relationship to create the perfect start to your big day!
The founder of Where It All Began has played a part in hundreds of Weddings over the years, as an entertainment supplier. There's one thing he's seen time and time again....
With your nearest and dearest in attendance for your big day - you'd think they know you pretty well right? Understandably, that's not always the case....
As an example - your Uncle John is 64 and he doesn't like social media - he didn't know you bought a house and he hasn't seen the picture of you both proud as can be with the keys at the porch. Your cousin Sarah has been travelling and as much as she tries to stay in touch there's only little time to catch up - she didn't know that you met your wife to be, in the same bar you used to visit most weekends whilst at Uni.
Let's tell your guests 'where it all began' and the journey you've had as a couple to this very day, before they witness the start of the most exciting chapter yet.
What do we do? How does it work?
No studio, no film crew, NO AWKWARDNESS - just you two in the comfort of your own home. Get comfy and BE YOU!
Once you've booked your editing slot, you'll be provided with a tutorial video to ensure you're ready to set the scene in your own home.
Make sure BOTH your mobile phones are charged to start filming, get them both in the positions we recommend and press record.
You'll be provided with a list of questions as inspiration for you to answer. You can pick any of the questions provided and/or use your own to suit the story you'd like to tell.
Once complete, send the videos from both phones to the email address provided attaching any photos of the subjects you highlight in your interview i.e pictures of your first house, family members that you mention etc (instructions will be provided for all stages).
How did you meet?
When did you realise they were the one?
What do we do with the video once it's complete?
Once your video is ready, it will be loaded onto a USB Flash drive and sent directly to the address provided.
When it arrives - all you'll need to do is pop it in the side of a TV that has a USB input to ensure it works for your own peace of mind.
Ensure the TV you'll be using on the day is setup in good time at the venue before the ceremony, ensuring the volume is correct for the size of the room. If your ceremony is at 13:30 and your video is 20 minutes long then we would advise asking your guests to take their seats at 13:00 (which should take 10 minutes in most cases). This will ensure the video finishes, ready for the wedding to start on time. You can of course adjust these times based on logistics of the venue/ quantity of guests attending etc.
Is this for us? We're not really public speakers...
Not many people are public speakers .... and for those that are, many of them don't enjoy it!
Just remember, this isn't a job interview, there's nothing on the line if you don't 'get it right'. Dress however you feel comfortable, get cosy and just BE YOU.
It doesn't matter if it takes you 28 attempts at one question for you to be happy with it. Just leave the camera rolling - we'll cut the previous attempts out leaving you with a perfectly imperfect video that reflects you as a couple, ensuring everyone is in the moment and ready to witness the wedding of the year.
Your guests will come to witness love, not an acceptance speech at the Oscars ha! Relax - you'll be fine.
